Cicada Press is an educationally based custom print work shop, established in 2001 at Meadowbank TAFE (Northern Sydney Institute) by Michael Kempson. It moved with him to The University of New South Wales, where it resided at Paddington campus from 2004 until 2021, while Michael was Convenor of the Printmaking Department. It operates independently today from Michael’s studio in Northern Sydney, NSW, continuing to support acclaimed artists and printmaking students.

The above video was filmed at The University of New South Wales, Paddington Campus, where Cicada Press was based from 2004 until 2021. Tim Pauszek, Doug Schofield and Jac Corcoran are hard at work printing Michael Kempson’s etchings for a Tree Making exhibition in 2019.
